Additional Terms for Speak League

Last updated: 14 July 2026

Your use of Speak League, a Glite product, is governed by Glite's main General Terms of Service together with these additional, product-specific terms. By playing, you agree to both.

These are additional, Speak-League-specific provisions that should be read alongside Glite's main policy. Read Glite's main General Terms of Service. Where they conflict, these Speak League provisions take precedence over the main policy.

1. About Speak League

Speak League is a free, browser-based daily English game. You describe the day's image with your voice, an AI recreates it from your words, and you receive a similarity score, language feedback, and a place in daily and weekly leagues. It's for personal, non-commercial learning and fun.

2. How these terms fit together

These additional terms supplement Glite's main General Terms of Service, which apply in full. Where these Speak League terms conflict with the main terms, these Speak League terms take precedence.

3. Eligibility & your account

Speak League is for adults only — you must be 18 or over to create an account and play.

You choose a player name, country and password when you sign up. Your password is personal — keep it confidential, as you're responsible for activity under your account.

Your league code and league PIN are different: they're meant to be shared. You give them to friends so they can join your league, so treat them as an invite rather than a secret.

Choose names that are lawful and inoffensive; we screen and may block or remove names that are abusive or impersonate others.

4. Your content and the licence you give us

You are responsible for what you say and type. Don't submit anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes others' rights. We may remove content and suspend players who break these rules.

You grant us a licence to process your voice input, descriptions and the resulting AI outputs to operate the game — transcribing, generating images, scoring, giving feedback, building leaderboards and leagues, and showing anonymised or aggregate results. Where the main terms assign rights in your activity materials to Glite, that applies here too.

5. Scores are not a professional assessment

Your scores and feedback are generated automatically and provided for educational and entertainment purposes only. They are not a substitute for a professional or certified language assessment.

6. AI-generated content

Images and feedback are generated by AI from your description and may be imperfect, unexpected or occasionally inaccurate. They are provided as-is. Do not rely on them as fact, and do not use the service to attempt to generate unlawful or harmful content.

7. Fair play

Leaderboards, points and leagues are meant to be fun. Don't cheat, automate submissions, use bots, or manipulate rankings. We may adjust or reset points and placements affected by abuse, and remove players who game the system.

8. Third-party services

Speak League relies on third-party providers — including Google (Gemini AI), Supabase, Vercel, Adjust and CookieYes — to deliver the experience. Their availability and behaviour are outside our control, and liability for them is governed by the main terms.

9. Availability and changes

The service is provided 'as is' and 'as available'. We may change, suspend or discontinue features — including challenges, leagues and scoring — at any time, and we don't guarantee it will always be available, accurate or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, and as further set out in the main terms, Glite is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Speak League.
